After you have created your username and password, you should perform these steps below. You will NOT need to connect your phone to your computer to install.
1. First thing, you will need to install the correct built of Mobile Spy for your Android operating system. To check to see what version of the Android OS is installed on the phone, go to your Settings menu, then the About Phone tab, then scroll down to the Firmware Version field. This is the version of the operating system installed on the phone. You will need this information for Step #3
of this installation guide.
2. Next, return to the home screen on the phone. Then, tap the Android Market icon on your device to bring up the Android Market. This is what the Market icon should look like:
3. Once inside the Android Market, tap the magnifying glass icon to bring up the Search function.
4. Now you will need to search for the version of Mobile Spy that is designed for your version of the Android operating system.
For Android OS version 1.5, search for: Android 15x
For Android OS version 1.6, search for: Android 16x
For Android OS version 2.0, search for: Android 20x
For Android OS version 2.1, search for: Android 21x
In the Search field, type in the appropriate name of the version of Mobile Spy you need from the list. Then tap the magnifying glass in the lower right corner to search.
5. Tap on the entry for the version of Mobile Spy you searched for.
6. On the next screen, tap Install at the bottom to begin the installation process.
7. This next screen displays the information about Mobile Spy's access to certain phone features it will use to log. Tap Ok to start the installation.
8. After the program finishes downloading, it will automatically install itself. To finish the installation, you MUST POWER DOWN the phone and wait 30 seconds. Then, POWER THE DEVICE BACK ON so that Mobile Spy will start up. All you have left to do is to configure the monitoring features of Mobile Spy to fit your needs. IMPORTANT NOTES
To make changes to the user/password just dial the digits again: *12345#
You can also change the *12345# to anything you wish by pressing MENU > Configure > Change PIN command.
CLEARING THE ANDROID MARKET SEARCH HISTORY
If you need to clear the search history in the Android Market, there are several free applications in the Android Market you can install to clear the history. Our recommendations are:
For Android OS version 1.5, search for: MarketHistoryEraser
For Android OS versions 1.6 and higher, search for: HistoryEraser
These applications are NOT our software and we DO NOT provide support for these applications. These are simply our recommendations, as there are dozens of applications to choose from.
