1. You will need to check what version of the BlackBerry operating system is currently installed on your phone first to determine which build of the Mobile Spy software you will need to install.
To check your OS version, make sure your phone is at its main screen. Next, press the BlackBerry button (checkerboard pattern) to move to the main menu. Then, select the Settings folder. Once there, select the Options folder. Next, select About from the list.

Open the Web Browser on your BlackBerry and type in the appropriate address for your device from the list above. Then press the Enter key.
2. You will notice the application name does not say the name of the program. This is the camoflaged name of Mobile Spy, as not to arouse suspicion or to give away that this phone is being monitored.
Check the box to Set Application Permissions as shown below, then select on the Download button.

3. When you get the Permissions screen, change all items in all three categories to "Allow".
Then click your BlackBerry button and go to Save as shown below.

4. You will then see the program download and install itself as shown below.

You will now be prompted to reboot the device to complete installation. Choose Later.

You will NEED to perform a hard reboot of the phone. To do so, simply remove the battery while the phone is still on, wait for 30 seconds, and re-insert the battery.
When the phone powers back on, you may receive pop-up alerts asking for Application Permissions once again. Here is an example of what they may look like:

Simply select Allow for any pop-up alert you may receive. These may only occur once after initial installation. They will not re-appear.
5. Once the phone restarts, now bring up the interface. Simply dial #10001* and press Send. The device will attempt to dial that number. When it makes this attempt, press the red End key. The interface login screen will appear.
Note: You can change the five numbers to any five digits later by going to Change PIN.

6. When the interface appears for the first time, you will be asked to enter your username and password. Remember to type it EXACTLY as you did when you created it because it is case sensitive. Then, press the BlackBerry button and go to Login. You will not be prompted again for your username and password, as Mobile Spy will save that information.

7. Once you log in, this screen will appear. This is the main user interface for Mobile Spy. Here, you can select which options you want to monitor. In addition, you can configure the interval time for when Mobile Spy will record GPS locations, the Email log reporting settings, Recovery settings, change your login information, dial sequence, and removal of Mobile Spy. To view the other settings, press the BlackBerry button and select the corresponding option from the menu.

To change the GPS recording interval, move the cursor over the field you wish to change. Then, press the rollerball to bring up a drop down menu of the options you can select (you cannot type in a numerical value).
8. This is the Email reporting menu. From this menu, you can select the email address you want your Mobile Spy log reports sent to and at what time interval you wish. Also, you can choose which log types you wish to include / remove from the reports. Simply check or uncheck which options you want.

9. This is the Recovery Settings menu. This menu allows you to select which remote SMS commands you wish to enable / disable and what phone number you want SIM change notifications sent to. For the remote SMS commands, simply check or uncheck which comannds you wish to use or not.

BlackBerry SMS Commands:
#lock* - Remotely lock the phone to restrict usage.
#unlock* - Remotely unlock the phone to allow usage.
#gps* - Retrieve the current GPS position of the monitored phone. The phone you send the command from will receive an SMS message containing this position and a link to it on a map.
#siminfo* - Retrieve the current information on the SIM card currently in the device. The phone you send the command from will receive an SMS message containing this information.
#wipe* - Remotely delete the recent call history, SMS history, URL history, stored contacts, and photos on the monitored device.
When sending an SMS command, only include the command code itself (no other info in the message). The monitored phone will not receive an incoming message alert as if a normal SMS message does.
*** IMPORTANT NOTE: For BlackBerry OS 7 users, the SIM command SMS will remain in the phone's inbox. Please use discretion when using the SIM commands as not to alert the user of the monitored device. ***
10. SIM change notifications are whenever the SIM card in the monitored device is changed, an alert SMS is sent to a target phone number alerting that the SIM card has been changed out. To configure SIM change notifications, while on the Recovery Settings menu, press the BlackBerry button and select Alert Number from the list.
The Friends List screen will appear. This is the list of phone numbers that SIM change alerts will be sent to via SMS. To add a number to this list, press the BlackBerry button and select Add Friend. You can then add any nnumber you desire manually or from the phone's contact list.

When you have finished configuring Mobile Spy to your needs, press the Back button to return to the main Mobile Spy interface screen. Press the Back button once again and when prompted to exit, select Ok.
Once you get back to your phone's main screen, you MUST reboot the phone again to initialize Mobile Spy to recognize the new settings. To do this, remove the battery for 30 seconds and re-insert the battery to reboot the phone. Once the phone powers back on, Mobile Spy is activated and ready to log!
*** Make sure to clear all call logs and URL logs on the device after installation to remove any trace that Mobile Spy has been installed onto the device. ***
TROUBLESHOOTING
Any time you make changes to the logging settings, the phone needs to be rebooted to start with the new changes. To do this, remove the battery for 30 seconds and re-insert the battery to reboot the phone.
