This is the configuration page for Mobile Spy version 7 for your Android device.
This guide assumes you have already installed Mobile Spy and made your user account with Mobile Spy as described in the User Guide.
You will first need to bring up the software in order to begin the configuration.
First Time Accessing the Software
You MUST agree to the terms & conditions of using this software to continue.
We recommend you to Activate Device Administrator security in Mobile Spy®. This will restrict the app from being deleted / uninstalled from the application list.
Next time you want to login to your Mobile Spy account:
Note: The default PIN number can be changed from the Online Control Panel.
The screens that follow are the basic features of Mobile Spy that you can select to activate or de-activate.
Tap the Device Activity Logging.
Check the boxes against all desired logging features.
Changes are automatically saved.
Press Close from Menu list to go to the Mobile Spy® home screen.
Mobile Spy® v7.0 has recently added a Keystroke logging feature to enhance the user experience.
The Keylogging feature captures every keystroke on the monitored device and makes the key logs information available on the Control Panel. To configure the Keylogging feature follow the below mentioned steps and screenshots:
• Go to the Mobile Spy® home screen.
• Tap Device Activity Logging.
• Tap Keylogger.
• Tap Goto Settings.
• Tap Default Keyboard> OK.
• Select the Default Keyboard option.
To enable the Social Network Logging option:
• Tap Social Network Logging.
• Check or uncheck any of the social networking features.
• Tap Close from the Menu list to go to the Mobile Spy® home screen.
By default, all aspects are checked and the changes are automatically saved.
Note: Social network logging is available in Rooted Android version only. Non-Rooted devices will not have this option.
If you are satisfied with the software's configuration, tap Close, then press your Home or Back button to exit the Mobile Spy interface. Once you are back to the device's home screen, POWER DOWN THE DEVICE. Allow 30 seconds after the phone is powered down, then power the phone back on. Mobile Spy is now ready to monitor!
If you wish to configure more advanced options, tap More Settings.
ROOTED DEVICES ONLY: After this step is completed, the device is going to ask for Super User / Administrative access for Mobile Spy in order for the program to have access to all aspects of the phone.
Select Activate to permanently grant Mobile Spy access.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Non-Rooted Android devices CANNOT capture the following log types:
Location Options: This menu allows you to configure the location tracking of Mobile Spy. From here, you can select either to log GPS locations at the fixed interval chosen by you (Advanced Tracking) or when the Cell ID or WiFi SSID changes (Basic Tracking).
There are 2 separate options for GPS tracking:
Recovery Settings: Here you can enable the features for SIM Change Notifications and configuring SMS commands. Tap on the checkbox to enable or disable a particular feature. To setup the number the SIM change alert will go to, simply enter it in the Mobile Number field. Changes are automatically saved. Press the Back button on the phone to return to the Mobile Spy main menu.
Android SMS Commands:
.bolt. - Remotely lock the phone to restrict usage.
.letfree. - Remotely unlock the phone to allow usage.
.scene. - Retrieve the current GPS position of the monitored phone. The phone you send the command from will receive an SMS message containing this position and a link to it on a map.
.bringitup. - Retrieve the current information on the SIM card currently in the device. The phone you send the command from will receive an SMS message containing this information.
.washit. - Remotely delete the recent call history, SMS history, URL history, stored contacts, and photos on the monitored device.
.hellol. - Get Instant logs.
When sending an SMS command, only include the command code itself (no other info in the message).
Restrict Applications
The software allows you to restrict applications on the monitored smartphone. All the installed applications on the device will be listed in the Restrict Applications screen.
Alerts: This menu gives you the options to enable / configure the different types of alerts you can receive based upon activities performed on the device.
Profanity Alert: Any text message or email containing any profane word will be copied and displayed in your online control panel in its entirety, including date, time, and who sent / received the message.
Intrusion Alert: Every attempt where someone tried to unlock the phone unsuccessfully and / or dialed a number that closely resembles the PIN number to access the program will be logged and displayed in your online control panel.
Custom Keyword Alert: This gives you the ability to select any specific keyword(s) and anytime a text message or email containing the selected keyword is sent or received by the device, it will be captured and displayed in your online control panel.
To add a custom keyword, tap the icon and enter in the desired keyword.
Alert Contact: This option allows you to view all specific correspondence with any phone number or email address you wish. These would include phone calls, text messages, email, etc. These activities will be logged and displayed in your online control panel.
To add a contact number or email address, tap the icon and enter in the desired contact.
Geofencing: This feature gives you the ability to create zones where, if the monitored devices cross into or out of, you will be alerted.
All you would need to do is set the Home Location to where the central point will be and then input the distance, in miles, from how far outward from this point the zone will be. Anytime the device crosses into or out of this area, you will be alerted on your online control panel.
To add your Home Location, tap on the icon. A map will display.
Tap on the area you wish to designate the Home Location, then press the Back button to automatically save that location.
Alert Areas: This features gives you the ability to create additional zones where if the monitored devices crosses into or out of, you will be alerted.
To add an additional alert area, tap the icon.
To add an additional location, tap on the icon. A map will display as it did when you set up your Home Location. Tap on the area you wish to designate as an additional location, then press the Back button to automatically save that location.
Check in and SOS
The Check In feature allows the mobile device user to give the employer or parent a non-emergency notice of arrival to an event or a friend's house. It sends the message to a pre-designated mobile number.
The SOS feature would be used in an emergency to quickly notify the pre-designated mobile number about it.
To configure Check in go to General Logs -> Alerts -> Check in Alerts.
To configure SOS go to Admin Login -> Alerts -> SOS Alert.
Configuring Premium Services
Mobile Spy® v7.0 has introduced premium features to provide a next level monitoring experience. The advanced features extend beyond basic features of monitoring smartphone(s). The value-added features allow you to know real-time activities of the monitored Android Smartphone.
To configure Mobile Spy® Premium features:
• Go to the Mobile Spy® home screen.
• Tap Premium Features.
• Check the boxes to enable LIVE Panel and Email Alerts options.
• Enter email address to which the logs would be sent.
• Slide the time slider to set the email alerts frequency.
• Check the desired logging options.
Settings: This menu will appear and give you the following options:
Upgrade to Premium Features
To enable Premium Features on the monitored Android device, you need to purchase the LIVE Control Panel. If you are on the Basic plan of Mobile Spy®, you will receive a prompt suggesting upgrading your Basic license to a Premium license.
Once you tap Premium Features, tap send Details button. Now you will receive an email at your registered email address, the email has instructions to upgrade a Basic license to a Premium license to use the Premium Features.
Settings
Sync Now: Instantly insert logs to the online control panel.
Change PIN: This allows you to change the dial sequence used to bring up the program. If you do change this, it MUST have a # in the beginning, a * at the end, and contain exactly 5 digits.
Remove Account: This will allow you to change the account login information this device is attached to. You would enter in the new email address and password.
Uninstall: This will remove Mobile Spy from the monitored device.
Once you have configured Mobile Spy to fit your needs, you can press your Home or Back button to exit the Mobile Spy interface. Once you are back to the device's home screen, POWER DOWN THE DEVICE. Allow 30 seconds after the phone is powered down, then power the phone back on. Mobile Spy is now ready to monitor!
UNINSTALL To uninstall Mobile Spy from your Android device, please follow these instructions:
Removing Mobile Spy from your Android device
You are now ready to monitor using Mobile Spy. Send some test SMS messages and calls. Logs will start showing in your online account after 20 minutes. To check logs, go to the login page to login from any Internet browser.
